UK Keeps Pennies
The UK is keeping their pennies in circulation as well as their 2 pence coin. See articles here and here. Why, oh why would they ever want to do this. The fact that people are still reliant on cash does not mean the have to keep their pennies. Their reasoning is counter intuitive in my book. If they got rid of the pennies, then the cash that they do use will be more useful and have more utility.
